What happens if there is foam or backwash left in Das Boot after I did my best to get it all? In the Grand Finals of the Beerlympics, the last mug will be replaced with Das Boot with two 12 oz beers inside. Not a single drop can be spilled or left in the glass during Das Boot. Sitting down Das Boot is the signal to stop the clock, so don’t sit it down at all until you are sure you are done. Players are allowed to take breaks while drinking during Das Boot, but the clock keeps running. The player who can drink Das Boot the fastest without spilling a drop is the winner. The clock does not stop until the player sets Das Boot back on the table, signaling they are done. When finished with the beer, the player must put the glass back onto the table. While drinking, if any beer spills down the player’s cheeks, lips, or chin they get disqualified. The timer will give a countdown (3, 2, 1, GO!) and the player may begin to drink when the clock starts. When the player is ready, they may pick up the glass and hold it and notify the timer they are ready to begin. Pour all 3 beers into Das Boot and let it rest on the table until the beer is ready.
